Seville, April 25 (EFE Agency). Sevillian architect and artist Manuel Chabrera (1952) has been selected to be part of the international catalog and exhibition at the Cankarjev dom Cultural Center in Ljubljana, Slovenia, one of the leading centers of contemporary European art.
The Sevillian painter’s work will become part of the artistic collection of the Slovenian art center, which, according to the artist himself, is considered one of the cultural jewels of that Central European country and “one of the most influential artistic beacons on the European continent.”
Chabrera’s inclusion in this contemporary art center will mean that one of his abstract paintings will be included in a selection from its collection that will tour several museums and cultural centers in several European countries over the next two years.
The curators of Chabrera’s work have highlighted his “unique and powerful” style and the Sevillian painter’s artistic career, which has managed to connect his creations with global concerns.
Manuel Chabrera has served as an ambassador for European art, exhibiting his work at the United Nations headquarters in Europe and the United States. He has also participated with his works in various forums for global dialogue.
New York, Havana, Belgrade, Beijing, Shanghai, and Moscow are cities where the Sevillian painter has exhibited or left works in private collections.
The artist emphasized his emotion that his work has been selected to be part of the collection of the Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana and believes that this event will open a new phase in his artistic production due to its exposure in Central Europe.
The Sevillian architect and painter created the Chabrera Foundation 24 years ago, dedicated to promoting art among young people and children in socially disadvantaged situations through the distribution of recycled computers, and to promoting young artists through international exhibitions (EFE).
